…. Reaffirms Commitment to Professional, Proactive Policing in Enugu
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Anambra State People Living in Enugu (ASPE) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to crime prevention and control across the state.
The award was presented to the Police Commissioner during the ASPE 2025 Anambra Day/Iwaji Festival and Award Presentation Ceremony, which took place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu.
Receiving the award, CP Giwa expressed deep appreciation to the leadership and members of ASPE, as well as the entire Anambra community residing in Enugu for the honour.
He described the recognition as a motivation for the Command to sustain its ongoing efforts toward effective policing and public safety.
The Commissioner reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to maintaining a professional, proactive, and community-driven policing approach in Enugu State. He assured residents that the Command would continue to prioritize crime prevention while responding swiftly and decisively whenever breaches occur.
CP Giwa further called on residents to continue partnering with the Police by providing credible information and support necessary to rid the state of criminal elements and make Enugu safer for all.
The event attracted dignitaries, community leaders, and members of the Anambra community, who commended the Police Commissioner for his leadership, professionalism, and visible results in improving security within the state.
