Enugu CP Felicitates Nigerians on 65th Independence Anniversary

….. Reassures Commitment to Security

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, has congratulated the people of Enugu State and Nigerians at large on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary, assuring residents of continued safety and security.

In his goodwill message issued on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, CP Giwa described the day as historic, noting that it offers Nigerians another opportunity to reflect on God’s faithfulness to the nation.

He urged citizens to remain committed to the values of unity, peace, and progress, which he said are essential to Nigeria’s growth and development despite prevailing national challenges.

The Police Commissioner reiterated the Command’s dedication to enhancing public security and safeguarding lives and property in Enugu State, promising improved measures to maintain law and order beyond the Independence Day celebrations.

He also called for stronger collaboration between the police and the public, emphasizing the need for citizens to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and supportive of collective efforts to sustain peace and security across the state.

The Command, through its spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, wished Nigerians—especially the people of Enugu State—a peaceful, joyous, and rewarding Independence celebration.
