Enugu East Local Government Council has commenced distribution of palliatives across the twelve electoral wards in the council area in line with Enugu State Government directive.
Recall that palliatives were provided by the state government to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
The Chairman of the Council , Nze Livinus Anike handed over bags of rice to a 5-man Committee per ward that comprises Councillors, Town Union President-Generals, the Clergy and members of Civil Society Organizations for the onward distribution to the beneficiaries.
While distributing the palliatives to indigent people on Monday, the Councillor of Amorji Ward, Hon. Simeon Mbah extolled Gov. Peter Mbah for feeling the pulse of the masses in this trying times of the nation and commended the Council Chairman, Hon. Livinus Nze Anike for facilitating the equitable distribution of the palliatives across the whole wards.
Many beneficiaries were excited as they receive their palliatives.
