Enugu State government has reinstated its commitment in partnering any organization that will support the developmental agenda of the state.
The Governor of Enugu State Dr. Peter Mbah represented by the commissioner of Special Duties, Mr.Emeka Ayogu stated this at a Joint Meeting of Enugu State Internal Revenue Service, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria ( IPMAN) and Petroleum Dealers Association of Nigeria,(PEDAN), Enugu Depot.
He enjoined them to support the state government by ensuring the prompt payment of their taxes.
Addressing the members of the association, the chairman Enugu State Internal Revenue service, Mr.Emmanuel Ekene Nnamani made them to understand the importance of paying tax.
He noted that it is the tax payers money that is used for payment of workers salary and execution of other developmental strides by the government.
Nnamani called on both trade union to ensure that PAYE of their staff is deducted and remitted to the IGR account of Enugu State government pointing out that is low.
Also speaking, the chairman of the association.Mr. Emeka Anyaso commended the effort of the state government towards improving on the developmental strides in the state.
He pledged their support to the government by ensuring that all taxes they owe must be paid, including the PAYE and land use change.
