Enugu Govt. Sets 10 Billion Naira Monthly Target

The Enugu state government says its monthly internally generated revenue currently stands at 4.3billion naira from the 1.92 billion naira it met it on assumption of office on May 29, 2023.

The state governor Dr. Peter Mbah who disclosed this during the week at the inauguration of the new executive council of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN said his administration has projected 10 billion naira monthly, IGR, which he said will translate to infrastructural development in various sectors of the economy.

Addressing the gathering, the Enugu state governor Dr. Peter Mbah who read the only bible reading called on the people of the state to support his administration for more democracy dividends.

Dr Mbah represented by the state government Professor Chidiebere Onyia reiterated the commitment of his administration towards fulfilling his campaign promises.

On his promise to make water available in 180 days in office, the governor said government’s effort is being sabotaged by enemies of the state insisting on his administration’s resolve to achieve its set targets.

Inaugurating the executives at House of General International Church Maryland, the National Chairman, State Inauguration Officer, of the PFN, Archbishop Joseph Ojo charged them to discharge their functions in line with the constitutions establishing the group.

The new council led by Archbishop CNC Onyeledo will pilot the affairs of the pfn for the next four years.

Other members of the executive are Bishop Charles Ogbonna, as state Deputy Chairman, Bishop Michael Onyebuchi, General Secretary, Bishop Vincent Diolli Vice Chairman Enugu North Senatorial Zone, Pastor Polycarp Ugwu–Vice Chairman Enugu East Senatorial Zone.

In separate remarks, the National Vice President PFN, Bishop Maxwell Korie and immediate past state Chairman PFN, Bishop Godwin Madu tasked them to remain resolute as god rewards faithfulness.

In an interview, the State Chairman PFN, Archbishop Onyeledo assured that the state executive of the PFN will achieve its mandate through human capacity building, creating structures and sanitising the association.

The event also featured presentation of award to some deserving members of the society including; Prof Dan Chukwu, Hon Emeka Ngene, Princess Obiajulu Ugwu, as well As Elder Frank Anioma, Hon Okey Ogbodo, among others.

The event which was attended by the Deputy Governor of the state, Barrister Ifeanyi Ossai represented by Rev Solomon Ejim among other numerous church leaders also featured the inauguration of the women wing of the PFN.
