The Enugu State Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Prof. Sam Ugwu has called for harmony, Peace and Unity among the borrow pit contractors and members of tipper union as they embark on Burrow Pit activities.
Prof. Ugwu made the call on Thursday during an interactive meeting with Burrow Pit Contractors, Tipper Union Members as well as Security Officers at the Conference Room Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
The Commissioner stated that the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mba is running a democratic government , and urged them to avoid anything that could jeopardise the system.
He added that the ministry as well as the government are open for dialogue if need be.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters Barr. Osinachi Nnajieze encouraged the contractors and tipper drivers to make appropriate use of our natural resources to develop themselves financially as well as the State.
Also present at meeting were Assistant Commissioner of Police Isiani Hope, Deputy Superintendent of the Corps, Ene Stanley among others.
