The Enugu State Government has announced plans to host a major Stakeholders’ Town Hall Meeting as part of the ongoing Digital Land Transformation Programme, an initiative driven by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration to modernise and secure land administration across the state.
In a public service announcement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Dr. Malachy Agbo, the meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, 2025, will take place at The Dome Hall of the Enugu International Conference Centre by 10:00 a.m.
According to the PSA, the Town Hall is designed to provide residents with clear and up-to-date information on land ownership, revalidation procedures, approved layouts, and the workings of the state’s new digital land administration system.
Dr. Agbo said, the initiative aligns with the administration’s commitment to transparency, public engagement, and a streamlined land management framework that protects the rights and investments of all landowners.
He emphasised that the forum is open to a wide spectrum of stakeholders, ranging from landowners, surveyors, estate developers, community leaders, and property practitioners to traditional institutions, business operators, religious bodies, civil society groups, the media, and development partners adding that the goal is to ensure that every group with an interest in land matters can directly engage government experts, seek clarifications, and better understand compliance requirements and timelines.
The government encouraged landowners to take advantage of a special benefit available on the day: on-site documentation, verification, and digital conversion of land records.
To enjoy this service, attendees are advised to come with copies of their land documents and arrive at least an hour before the event begins.
Describing the Town Hall as a vital opportunity for citizens to secure their land assets for the future, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr. Malachy Agbo, urged all concerned stakeholders to participate fully.
