Enugu Police Command partners ICPC on tackling official corruption

 

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Kanayo Uzuegbu, had assured the State Commissioner of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission (ICPC), Mr. Kennedy Ebhotemen, of the Command’s continued partnership and cordial working relationship, especially in the area of tackling official corruption.

A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DCP Daniel Ndukwe disclosed that the Commissioner of Police made this known when the State Commissioner, in company of his principal officers, paid him a familiarization visit in his office at the State Headquarters, GRA, Enugu.

The State ICPC Commissioner solicited the strengthening of the existing collaboration and cordial working relationship between the Commission and Police, noting that the fight against corrupt practices is such that it requires the fervent partnership of both agencies of government.

DCP Fidelis Ogarabe, the Deputy Commissioner in Charge of the State CID Enugu; ACP Hope Isiani Okereke, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Finance and Administration; CSP Afam Ofomata, the Chief Superintendent of Police Administration; and CSP Blessing Ijiomah, the Officer in-charge of the Command’s Medical Services, joined the CP to receive and interact with the visitors.
