Commissioner Uzuegbu gave the assurance on Thursday when he received in audience, the State Chief Fire Officer, Okwudili in his office, at the Police Headquarters.

“Your core duty of ensuring the safety of human lives and property through firefighting is such that it is very crucial to our policing duties”.
“It is, therefore, important to state that we have to always do everything humanly possible to maintain a close and cordial working relationship.

“Hence, I assure you that the existing mutually beneficial synergy between the Police and State Fire Service in Enugu State shall be maintained.”

The CP was joined by some of his management team members and staff officers of the Command to receive and interact with the Chief Fire Officer and his entourage.

The CFO Mr. Ohaa had earlier informed the CP that he was in his office to formally familiarise and seek the “oiling” of the existing fruitful and cordial working relationship between the State Fire Service and the State Police Command.
He noted that, while the working relationship between the Service and the Police is such that is immutable, strengthening the relationship is essential for the collective success of the agencies, which informed the visit and solicitation.
