The suspect was accused of thrusting his manhood into the mouth of the victim in a classroom, after school hours.
A statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Adeleke, said Osun NSCDC’S State Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo immediately ordered discreet investigation into the incident when the matter was reported.
The statement also said the probe by the command revealed that Akorede started molesting the girl sometime in 2024.
“The suspect was arraigned by NSCDC, on Wednesday 26th March, 2025, before the Magistrate Court in Ilesha, Osun State, where he pleaded not guilty to the one count charge. He was subsequently remanded at the correctional centre in Ilesa. The matter was adjourned for trial.”
“In his confessional statement, Samuel said he had known the victim for about three years and asked her to be his girlfriend, but she rejected him.
“But on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at about 3:00 pm, the victim was passing in front of the suspect’s house when he called her and dragged her into his room with the help of an accomplice. The suspect threatened the victim with a cutlass and had carnal knowledge of her.
“Thereafter, the victim started bleeding, and the suspect threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The accomplice is currently at large but will be apprehended to face the consequences of his actions. The suspect admitted committing the offence and a medical report confirms that the victim’s hymen was broken,” Adeleke further said.
Assuring members of the public that upon the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect will be charged to court, the statement said the Commandant also implored parents and guardians to be vigilant and keep a close watch on their wards to prevent them from falling victim of unscrupulous elements.
The Osun NSCDC boss also strongly warned those individuals engaging in such heinous acts to desist, as failure to do so will result in severe consequences.
