Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, WTO, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has expressed deep sadness over the death of the immediate past President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari.
The Ex-President died Sunday afternoon July 13, 2025 at a London Hospital.
The former Minister of Finance described the death of the former President as unbelievable saying she did not know how ill Buhari was.
Earlier on learning about Buhari’s health situation, Okonjo-Iweala prayed for his good health and speedy recovery and appreciated the support Buhari gave her in her current position during his time in office.
“HE President Buhari was and minutes after sending my get well wishes I have just learned that he passed away”.
“I am so very sad. May the Soul of HE @MBuhari rest in perfect peace”.
“My deepest condolences to the entire Buhari family and his close aides and associates”.
