Primarily, International Women’s Day serves as a call to action for accelarating Women’s rights and fostering a more inclusive and equitable society.
To achieve true inclusion, we must break down barriers that hinder progress, these include addressing issues such as gender -based violence, unequal access to education, healthcare and discriminatory practices in the workplace.

In a world where food insecurity continues to cast its shadow over the lives of many, it is both an honour and a duty for the First Lady of Enugu State to take a step towards alleviating this pressing issue.
We acknowledge that addressing food insecurity requires collective efforts, and today’s initiative is a small yet significant step towards a future where no one in Enugu State goes to bed hungry. Let this act of generousity inspire us all to contribute to the well-being of our fellow citizens, fostering a community where empathy and support prevail’.
