Property worth millions of naira have been gutted by fire at number 9 Bunker Lane Udi Siding Enugu.
The fire which affected the left flat top floor of the one storey building and mildly the opposite flat started at about 5.40am on Sunday and razed down the apartment belonging to Mr Johnson Onyibor who was said to be at the village during the fire outbreak.
Although men of the state fire service were later at the scene to contain the fire from escalating to other flats in the building, no pin was picked from the affected apartment.
Also the men of Nigeria police force led by DPO CPS were on ground to ensure security at the scene.
The owner of the apartment,Mr Onyibor who later arrived the scene was a shadow of himself as he said he does not know where to start .
He called on the state government and public spirited individuals to come to his aid as he and his family were now in a pitiable condition.
Our Correspondent reports that although no life was lost , the cause of the inferno could not be ascertained as at the time of the report.
