The Enugu State Government has announced plans to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for major infrastructure projects at the Enugu State College of Health Technology, Oji-River.
According to an official invitation, the ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., within the premises of the institution in Oji-River, Enugu State.
The projects earmarked for construction include a 176-bed hostel, a new administrative block, and classroom facilities for the College of Nursing.
The event will also mark the commencement of renovation works on existing administrative buildings and classrooms in the college.
The initiative is part of the state government’s broader efforts to strengthen healthcare education and improve infrastructure across training institutions in the state.
Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is expected to lead the ceremony, underscoring his administration’s commitment to advancing the health sector through strategic investments in infrastructure and human capital development.
The projects are expected to enhance the learning environment for students and staff, while also increasing the institution’s capacity to train healthcare professionals in the state.
