Enugu Youths Storm Streets For Mbah, Set To Procure APC Guber Re-Election Form

The Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Enugu State Chapter, Comrade Chukwuebuka Bartholomew Okoh, has declared the total support of Enugu youths for the re-election of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

Speaking with newsmen in Enugu during the 10,000 solidarity march for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, which he organised in support of his administration and re-election, Comrade Okoh stated that Enugu youths are happy with what Governor Mbah has achieved in less than three years of his administration.

He stated that, aside from visible works across all sectors, Governor Mbah has given Enugu youths the opportunity to show what they can do by involving them in his cabinet in critical positions, adding that this has ensured that youths contribute their quota to the development of the state.

On the 10,000 march for the Governor, Comrade Okoh posited that it is a call for more support and was also done to create further awareness among the citizens and residents of Enugu that there is no vacancy in the Lion Building come 2027 because Enugu has exceeded expectations under Governor Mbah.

He also called on all youths to rally round and give Governor Mbah the needed support to advance the state further, while assuring that Enugu youths are making efforts to purchase the gubernatorial re-election form for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah once his political party, APC, releases the primary election timetable.

“This is not just a march; it is a clear message from the youths of Enugu State that we have seen leadership that works and we are ready to stand by it. In less than three years, Governor Mbah has changed the narrative in governance, infrastructure, education, and youth inclusion. We have been given opportunities to serve, to contribute, and to grow, and we cannot ignore that. The youths are not deceived; we know what good governance looks like, and we are experiencing it. That is why we are mobilising ourselves, not out of compulsion but out of conviction, to ensure continuity.”

In his remarks, the Deputy Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Enugu State Chapter, and Chairman of Igboeze South Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Ugo-Ferdinand Ukwueze, commended Comrade Okoh and Enugu youths for organising the exercise.

He stated that he sees it as a wake-up call to Ndi Enugu, especially the youths who have benefited more from Governor Mbah and who will be the beneficiaries of his policies in time to come, adding that Governor Mbah deserves a third term if possible because he is a reformer and performer.

“What we are witnessing today is a demonstration of genuine appreciation from the people, especially the youths, who are direct beneficiaries of the Governor’s policies. From infrastructure to human capital development, the impact is visible. This should serve as a reminder to Ndi Enugu that leadership is about results, and Governor Mbah has shown capacity in that regard. If the constitution permits, such performance deserves continuity because consistency in governance brings lasting development and stability to the state.”

In their various remarks, the Special Assistant to the National Chairman of APC on Youth Mobilisation, Comrade Juliet Obinta, and other youth leaders such as Comrade Obetta Chika and Comrade Onah Onyebuchi, commended the Governor for his good works and care for the youths, as well as his decision to align the state with the Federal Government, urging for more support from all and sundry.

Responding to this gesture, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Hon. Frank Anioma, said the event has once again shown that the Enugu youth constituency is with the Governor and has aligned with his vision for the state.

He stated that he is happy with the exercise, as well as the commitment of the people to work with the Governor.

The 10,000 march for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah saw Enugu youths walk round the city, thanking the Governor and calling for his re-election.
