Hajj 2027: Kano pilgrims board sets deadline for passport submission

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to submit their valid international passports on or before Aug. 7 to facilitate the processing of their travel documents.

The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, gave the directive in a statement signed by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Dederi, on Tuesday in Kano.

“The submission commenced on Aug. 3 to enable the board to begin documentation and other administrative processes required for the 2027 Hajj exercise.

“Early submission of passports is necessary to ensure the timely processing of travel documents and compliance with deadlines set by the relevant authorities,” Ibrahim-Matawalle said.

He urged all registered intending pilgrims to submit their passports within the stipulated period to avoid delays in processing their Hajj documentation.

The director-general reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free Hajj operation.

He appealed to pilgrims to cooperate with the board throughout the preparation process. (NAN)
