The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced vacancies for ad-hoc staff recruitment for the 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election through its INECPRES portal.
According to the official notice, eligible applicants residing in Ekiti State can apply for various election positions, including Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), Registration Area Technical Support Staff (RATECHSS), and RAC Managers.

The commission listed the following available positions for the 2026 Ekiti governorship election ad-hoc staff recruitment:

Registration Area Centre (RAC) Managers
Registration Area Technical Support Staff (RATECHSS)
Eligibility Criteria for INEC Recruitment 2026
INEC stated that applicants must meet specific qualifications depending on the role applied for.
1. Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs)
Applicants must be:
Permanent staff of Federal Public/Civil Service and Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) on Grade Level 10–14
INEC permanent staff such as RAOs and others not engaged in other duties (GL09–14)
2. Presiding Officers (POs) and Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs)
Eligible categories include:
Serving NYSC members
Former NYSC members not later than four years post-service (2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 sets)
INEC permanent staff on Grade Level 07 and 08
Permanent staff of Federal and State MDAs with OND or on GL07–10
Penultimate students of Federal tertiary institutions
3. RAC Managers
Applicants must come from institutions hosting RAC or Super RAC centres and must be heads of schools or suitable staff on Grade Level 07 and above.
4. RATECHSS
Only suitable INEC ICT staff at state offices and headquarters not engaged in other election duties are eligible.
General Conditions for Applicants
INEC also listed the following conditions for all applicants:
Applicants must not be members of any political party
Applicants must not have publicly demonstrated support for any candidate or political party
Applicants must reside in Ekiti State, except RATECHSS applicants who are INEC staff
