NUJ Enugu Council Chairman Loses Father

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Enugu State Council, Comrade Obinna Ogbuka, has lost his father.
The sad announcement was made by the Council Secretary, Sulaiman Onyeama Jr., in a statement issued on Friday.

Describing the development as a painful loss, Onyeama called on members of the union to stand in solidarity with the Council Chairman and his family during this difficult period.

He urged journalists and well-wishers to keep the bereaved family in their prayers, asking God to grant them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

“We urge all members to rally round the Chairman and his family in prayers. We pray to Almighty God to grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest in His bosom,” the statement read.

The Council Secretary also prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased, saying, “May Papa’s soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.”

Details regarding the funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in due course.
