The Nigeria Police Force says its operatives recorded a series of operational successes across 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory between September 25 and 29, 2026.
The operations involved arrests of suspected criminals, rescue of abducted victims, recovery of firearms and other exhibits, as well as responses to armed robbery and bandit attacks.
In Delta State, police arrested a suspected armed robber following an incident involving robbery and cable vandalism at a hotel in Asaba.
The suspect was shot in the leg, while a machete, plier, iron rod and armoured cable were recovered.
Anti-crime patrols also led to the impoundment of 19 vehicles, two tricycles and a motorcycle, with six suspects handed over for further investigation.
In Lagos, five suspected armed robbers were arrested along Ejigbo-Idimu Road, while two cutlasses and a suspected stolen television were recovered. Another suspect was arrested in Mushin with ₦2.5 million and three mobile phones, while two suspects were arrested in connection with a murder case in Ajah.
In Kogi and Bauchi, police and other security personnel rescued abducted victims, including a 16-year-old boy in Bauchi, with suspects arrested in both operations.
In Anambra, 13 suspects were arrested during a raid on criminal hideouts in Okpoko, with suspected cannabis, other illicit substances and six motorcycles recovered.
Police also arrested a suspect in the FCT over a reported violent assault, recovered locally fabricated firearms in Ogun and Taraba, and responded to an attack on a Special Constabulary personnel and his wife in Jigawa, where 20 arrows were recovered.
The Force also reported a response to an armed robbery in Bayelsa, where an injured victim was evacuated to hospital. In Zamfara, tactical teams responded to a bandit attack along the Gusau-Funtua Federal Highway, evacuating four gunshot victims while joint security forces continued efforts to rescue abducted persons and apprehend the attackers.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, said the various cases remain under investigation by the respective State Criminal Investigation Departments.
