Enugu Govt Announces Temporary Closure of Section of Ogui Road

The Enugu State Government has announced the temporary closure of a section of Ogui Road bordering the Main Bowl of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium to facilitate the ongoing remodeling and rehabilitation of the facility.

According to a public announcement issued by the Enugu State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, the temporary traffic restriction will take effect from Monday, August 3, and will remain in place intermittently as construction progresses.

The Ministry explained that the road would only be closed whenever construction activities require it to ensure the safe execution of the project.

It stated that the temporary closure is aimed at safeguarding motorists, pedestrians, construction workers, and the surrounding environment throughout the rehabilitation exercise.

The Ministry advised motorists and other road users to exercise caution, comply with all traffic diversion measures, obey road signs, and cooperate fully with traffic management personnel and other authorised officials stationed at the project site.

While expressing regret over any inconvenience the temporary traffic arrangement may cause, the Enugu State Government appealed for the understanding and cooperation of residents, noting that the project forms part of its commitment to delivering quality infrastructure for the benefit of the people of the state.

The public announcement was signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Ngozi MaryAnn Ngene.
